For the Love of Humanity
To the people who say someones story does’t matter in the grand scheme of things or to the people who say we are insignificant. Maybe, just maybe, it’s true. Regardless, that doesn’t belittle life. No one can ever diminish what life is and how incredibly beautiful it can be. Our experiences as human are so unique through and through. Time moves on and has gone on for a long time, this will continue to be true. Life is greater than time. So f-ing enjoy it.
For The Love of Humanity was the nine month long process of creating, making and thinking. The origins of this work came from the idea of connection and how we as humans are connected. I wanted to showcase this project as something that you can experience and see this idea of connecting with one another. I followed through with my own ideas but one thing I knew what was missing was the main thing I was trying to convey, connection. I ended up conducting small interviews with my fellow classmates and people in my life. I wanted to know what they thought about and what they wanted to share. Through this I came up with more ways to visually portray this idea of connection with adding visual elements to my work through the things people shared with me. Through this process I learned that this project wouldn’t be completed by the deadline which is why this work isn’t completed and will continue to be worked on through my career.
